Dream: the measuring software by VICIVISION

The software that streamlines and simplifies dimensional inspection.

Dream is the software that powers VICIVISION optical measuring machines.

It is the interface operators use every day to recall a measurement program, start the inspection cycle, and quickly verify whether a part is within tolerance.

Dream manages the entire measurement process: it controls machine movements, acquires images of the part, and applies advanced image processing algorithms to measure diameters, lengths, chamfers, radii, threads, and all other required dimensions.

At the end of each inspection cycle, the software provides a clear pass/fail result (OK/NOT OK) and displays all measured dimensions together with their corresponding tolerances.

Dream also enables the creation and management of measurement programs, from simple routines to complex inspection applications.

The metrology specialist creates the inspection program once, while production operators can easily recall it with just a few steps or automatically through barcode scanning or integration with external systems. This ensures a standardized, fast, and repeatable dimensional inspection process.

The software stores measurement data over time and provides built-in statistical analysis tools to monitor dimensional trends across production batches. This makes it easy to detect process drift, identify abnormal variation, and export data to SPC and MES systems for advanced quality control.

Dream can also be integrated with robots and automation systems, allowing VICIVISION measuring machines to operate either as standalone stations or as part of fully automated manufacturing cells.
