Technoset was established in 1978 and operates primarily in the aerospace sector, while also supplying components for laser applications and medical fibre optics.
Its products are highly sophisticated and often manufactured from specialist materials for demanding applications, including aero-engine components designed to operate in challenging environments.

Fast and simple inspection on the shop floor
More recently, Technoset introduced a VICIVISION machine to make dimensional inspection even faster and more efficient.
One of the key advantages is its ease of programming and use. An operator can load a component into the machine, start the cycle, and let the system automatically recognise the part and recall the correct measurement program.
Within around 30 seconds, the system can generate a complete report covering 30 to 35 different dimensional features.
The machine immediately highlights whether dimensions are within tolerance, whether an adjustment is needed to bring the process back towards nominal values, or whether a feature is out of tolerance.
This allows operators to react quickly, reduce inspection time, and keep machine tools running efficiently.
Bringing measurement closer to production
VICIVISION and OGP systems are designed to operate in real production environments.
For Technoset, this is a major advantage. Dimensional inspection can be carried out close to the manufacturing process without unnecessary disruption to workflow.

As Kane explains:
